7/16/08 Parent Meeting Notes

At Family Child Development Center (FCDC) in Plymouth, MN, an individual development plan is developed for every little learner, in consultation with parents.

FCDC is a non-profit, educational childcare center that provides early childhood and family development services to the community.

FCDC offers full-time and part-time child care for 6 weeks through 5 years, and parent/child education. Our educational programs are centered in the values and qualities of trust, love, honesty, creativity, initiative, responsiveness, equality, distinctiveness, diversity and compassion.

The child develops a new sense of personal awareness...growth in emotional, physical, and social ability...also a joy in learning.

The adult appreciates that "learning" is a never-ending process...a sharing of ideas, knowledge, concerns, values, and time.

Family Child Development Center provides the atmosphere where these goals may be achieved...an atmosphere based on acceptance of what the individual can do.

At FCDC, you'll find:

High-quality teachers, all of whom are accredited in compliance with the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services guidelines.

Teacher to child ratios that are lower than state standards and most other child care centers, giving each child more attention and care.

A large playground, filled with equipment and located far away from noisy streets and vehicle exhaust!

FCDC is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.  This licensing process assures that high standards have been met regarding space, equipment, curriculum, and staff.
